Foaming molds for steering wheels

It was back in 1894 when Alfred Vacheron was able to revolutionize the automotive field by introducing a better alternative to the outdated  tiller that was being used in the earliest car: the wheel.

Originally, the steering wheel was composed of an internal steel structured wrapped in a wood casing; with the introduction of polyurethane the manufacturing process has changed significantly, allowing for much faster processes as well as tougher, more durable and safer products.

Every single detail is taken care of during the design stage to make sure that the foaming process is as efficient as possible, especially when producing molds with interior components that have to be printed together with polyurethane and require a previous feasibility consideration.

Our steering wheel foaming tools are designed to ensure top-level precision and toughness, with a special focus on high durability when it comes to molds made for high-production volumes.

Starting from either an aluminum or a forged block, we focus on manufacturing high efficiency molds that are compliant with the strictest acceptability criteria.

As further proof of our commitment, every single mold that comes out of our factory comes with a 3D dimensional report, perfectly compliant with all the tolerances requested.

Our long-time experience in this specific sector allows us to manufacture resin masters for final product testing, an additional check to make sure everything is going according to the project.
